Bella Bamba
NARS’ Orgasm has been the industry’s number one selling blush for years. People go crazy for it. And, you know, I’ll admit: it is very pretty on most people. But on the select few of us that have “cool” skin tones (read: pink), it just turns an unflattering shade of tangerine. But at last, I have found a blush deserving of the claim “universally flattering” (that is, it looks good on warm AND cool skin tones): Benefit’s Bella Bamba. It’s hawked as a “3D blush”– but to be honest, it’s a bright (and yet neutral?), watermelon blush with flecks of gold shimmer to it. The idea isn’t so far off from Orgasm, it’s just got a lot more pink in it. (Artist note: pink tones can go on everyone– not true of peach ones.) I’ve been loving putting it on clients for a pretty flush. An instant and affordable skin pick-me-up, this is the latest addition to this makeup addict’s bag. Icing on the cake? The packaging is a-dor-able!
